The band Young 95 was formed in spring 2006 by Richard Cirulis and Simon
Englund. Both were born in 1995. They both played guitar and sang in
the band which was not much of a band at this point. It took a while before they
found a drummer that they liked. It was their classmate Daniel
Dahlskog (DD) who received that role in the spring of 2007. It worked quite ok
now.
The band's first gig was on a talentshow in front of 3x200 people where they
played a cover of Ebba Grön's "800 grader".
Richard started writing songs
when he was 9 years old and soon he began to show them to the band. Young 95, now began play Richards songs. Even Simon co-wrote some songs. In spring 2008 they played a demo of
the song "Loving You" but the project was suspended and after a month canceled.
In autumn 2008
they finally found their 4th member. It was Lukas
Björklund. He plays bass and sings. The band was now complete. In
spring 2009, Young 95 continued without their drummer DD because he
lacked the ambition that the others had. But they were not long without
a drummer. About a month after that DD had left Philip Öhlund came and
did a brilliant audition for the band. He now became their new drummer. In fall 2009 Young 95 played a few shows at the Huddinge Spinoff Contest and had a first gig with their new drummer at "Huset" in Huddinge (Sweden). To be continued ...
